Berlin

Peter and I went to Berlin in September where
Peter Nencini took part in an exhibition at a new gallery space 'Direktorenhaus'.
Alot of hard work from Peter paid off and he produced some lovely pieces, I especially liked the large leather piece, constructed on site to fit the location. You can find out more about this piece on his blog

I helped with the sewing, patterns and embroidery on a couple of the chair pieces. The pads on this childs chair worked really well, at the back they fill in the empty space between the structure of the chair.

Sadie's chair from our kitchen table was used for this piece - she has almost got over it now! I made this cover following Peters design and specifications, covering and exposing parts of the wood.

I really love the embroidery pattern created for the 'Rajasthani chair' and have applied it on this child's Victorian rocking chair. Thanks to Alison for helping me with the embroidery!

I have been experimenting with pattern, looking at 50's tiles and come up with this knitted patchwork cushion - first sample!

fiona's chairs

Fiona had 4 lovely Victorian(?) dining chairs which I striped right back to the frame and rebuilt using traditional techniques. She chose 4 shades of pink from Designers guild - very striking!

I am working on ideas for chair pads, these ones are on children's Ikea chairs painted white but they could be any size.

I am enjoying this fish scales/feather pattern, its fun trying to get the colour changes right! I've created a few disasters which the girls are happy to use as sylvanian family blankets!

Heres my cat cushion, that's as far as I've got on my animal theme so far! (Thinking of making these cushions a bit bigger)
